Poachers Lodge
A spacious country home with sensational views
Sleeps 8 • Newly renovated • Dog friendly
At Poachers Lodge, nature feels ever-present. This roomy, family-friendly holiday home enjoys some of the finest views on the Island. On the right day, with the right light, those gorgeous green hills seem to go on forever. Make Poachers Lodge your haven, and you'll feel like you have them all to yourself. Perfect, we think, for families and groups who want to watch the world go by without watching the clock.
Do you want even more space for an extraordinary escape? Poachers Lodge is right next door to Poachers Perch – a lovely family cabin on the edge of Tapnell Farm. Book both and you'll enjoy room for up to 14, with easy access between the properties through the Lodge's gardens.
Our love letter to comfortable, worry-free farm living.
Poachers Lodge feels at once special, familiar and exquisitely comfortable – ideal for those who want a cosy home from home. Furnished to the highest standards, it boasts a bright, spacious sitting room, a comfy snug with a log burner, and homely modern furniture throughout. And if dining or entertaining is on your agenda, you'll adore the open-plan kitchen diner, which leads to an extensive garden and patio.
It's the kind of place family holidays were made for. Why not gather your kith and kin for a sun-soaked BBQ or breakfast banquet (courtesy of our luxury hampers)? Or take a short stroll over to our main activity hub and hold a family football golf tournament? Or, perhaps, just kick back on the patio and enjoy those rolling, endless countryside views?
A world of adventure, just around the corner.
Staying at Poachers Lodge puts you moments from our popular family attractions. Take a short walk up the road and you'll have a world of adventure-fuelled, people-powered activities to try. Like Tapnell Farm Park, with its cute animals and soft play areas. And the Aqua Park, where the whole family can splash, bounce and play in the Great Outdoors.
Then comes supper. The Cow serves up some of the Island's finest burgers, steaks and vegan options – home-cooked and locally sourced. Or opt for a luxury hamper and dine together under your own roof. Either way, it's refreshingly convenient.
More to discover further afield.
We always encourage our guests to get out and explore the Island. You only need to take a short drive – or a brisk walk – and you'll be among some of the UK's most precious natural gems. That includes Blue Flag beaches, bracing clifftop trails and Island icons like The Needles and Tennyson Down. Or how about exploring Yarmouth's quaint cobbled streets and many independent shops?
