Padel and pickleball at Tapnell Farm

If you've never played padel tennis or pickleball before, you're in for a treat. These fast-paced racket sport are easy to learn, fun to play and a great way to stay active with friends or colleagues.

Padel is a blend of tennis and squash. It's played in doubles on an enclosed court that's about a third of the size of a standard tennis court. Pickleball, meanwhile, is like a full-size version of table tennis. A pickle court is the same size as a badminton court.

Seasoned players will be right at home on our well-equipped, all-weather courts. And for new players, we've made it easy to get started. Whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to either sport, give it a go and you might just discover your latest sporting passion!

Simply book your slot, turn up and play in our all-weather activity barn.

For all ages • Designed for 4 players (2 vs 2) • Equipment hire available

• Don't forget to refuel at our on-site restaurant, The Cow. Look for it on the other side of the Aqua Park.

Padel tennis and pickleball FAQs

  Loved it here!

So much to do for the kids. Football golf was a huge success with my footie crazy boys. The animal park was great, we especially loved feeding the wallabies.

A great day out for kids of all ages

We only spent the afternoon here and with only one 5 year old that was fine. But with more kids or older ones I think you could easily spend the whole day here.

An amazing time had by all

Christmas 2025 Tapnell farm was a magical experience. They really exceeded expectations this year. Great value for money. Great activities,  my granddaughter age 8, really believed she was in the Northpole, and when the snow came down it brought such joy to my granddaughter. Santa and Mrs clauses were the best. The elfs were fun and helpful.

Well done Tapnell farm

  Absolutely impeccable stay!

I stayed in the module log cabin and everything was perfect — exactly as described on the booking website. The place was also very dog friendly, which made the trip even better. I just have to make a special mention of how impressive the fridge was in the accommodation — it really exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

  Fantastic day out for kids/family

Loads to do both indoors and out! A lovely coffee/cake selection including GF options!!

Sandwiches and meals available as well although we took a packed lunch which we could eat either outside or in the huge barn area (which includes a play area/go kart track!)
