Cosy, low-frills glamping with commanding views

Sleeps 8 • 1 bedroom • Dog friendly (containers 7–14)

For those exploring in groups (or who want to keep nature at arm's reach), our upcycled shipping containers make for perfect countryside sanctuaries. There are few frills, but that's all part of the fun. This is camping without canvas, poles or stiff joints. A chance to spend quality time together, with more time spent soaking up the scenery than struggling with a tent. And what scenery it is – a tumbling, panoramic vista of hills and farmland stretching all the way to the sea. A view worth waking up to, we think.

Welcome shelter for born explorers.

Of all our glamping units, these cosy containers put you closest to the unbridled beauty of the Island's wilder side. They're carefully upcycled and resolutely down to earth, yet are not without welcome creature comforts. Inside, there are comfy beds, plenty of storage and a couple of bean bags so you can kick back and chat. Outside, you'll spot wood cladding (for a homely touch), a picnic bench (for al-fresco snacks) and, when evening falls, sunsets you'll remember forever. Each container also includes festoon lighting and two double electrical sockets.

Hiking and cycling groups love them. So do families and friendship groups seeking solitude, adventure and gloriously fresh air. You'll need to bring your own bed linen, cutlery and other essentials, but the payoff – living simply and living well – is 100% worth it.

Moments from food, fun and new memories.

Staying in our containers means the best of Tapnell Farm is never far away. Mornings might begin at the activity-packed Tapnell Farm Park, where kids can burn some energy and families can make lasting memories. Later, you could take to the lake for a splash-filled session at our Aqua Park, or try something new like clay pigeon shooting or padel tennis.

When appetites call, head to The Cow – our award-winning on-site restaurant – and treat everyone to a home-cooked, locally sourced banquet. Or snatch up one of our luxury hampers and cook bacon sandwiches in the open air. Here, every day is yours to shape.

Explore further, discover more.

Go beyond Tapnell Farm and you can immerse yourself in the Island's easy-going lifestyle. Hire bikes and follow quiet lanes to Yarmouth's independent shops and harbourfront eateries. Set out on the Tapnell Trail and up onto the Downs for far-reaching coastal views. Or discover hidden gems, such as Hamstead Beach – a haven for fossil hunters and birdwatchers alike.

  Luxury Family Glamping

We stayed 4 nights in the dome meadow in the most beautiful dome tent. On arrival the accommodation was spotless and so well presented with everything we needed for our stay. The dome was heated with a Dyson heater so we had a lovely warm welcome. The fridge was stocked with fresh milk and cold water, the fires were ready to be lit and all our beds were being warmed by electric blankets ready for the evening. The farm park was a 5 minute walk across the field, past the lambs and llama!! I have already recommended our stay to friends and we hope to be returning soon!!

Great venue for a weekend break

Booked a long weekend break for the whole family + dog as a surprise 70th birthday treat for my wife. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the cabin style accommodation was really nice and for a group of 6 adults, 2 toddlers and a dog it did not seem cramped at all. The on site attractions were just right for the kiddies and we didn't have to go off site for anything, plenty to see and do. Heartily recommend it for people of all ages.
